30,000 lb Chiller Installation – Trump Tower Vancouver
Eagle West Industrial Moving 30,000 lb Chiller Installation at Trump Tower
Eagle West Industrial Moving Team partnered with William Kelly and Sons at the Trump Tower in Vancouver to assist with a chiller installation. The industrial moving team was hired to safely install a 30,000 lb chiller into the basement of the building. In order to place the chiller onto the floor below it required lowering it through a hole into the floor. The hole access had limited head room which ruled out the use of a crane and required the team to be more creative.
The resulting plan was to place the chiller onto a custom skid system, slide the chiller over the hole and then lowering it down using a four chain hoist system.
The Industrial Moving team used the 200 Ton LinkBelt crane to offload and place the chiller onto skid system. From here they were able to slide the chiller over the hole and safely lower the chiller into place on the bottom floor. The project went flawless and was delivered on-time and on budget.
