Mark Center Tree Hoist

On Wednesday August 7, 2013, Eagle West worked in conjunction with Central Valley Tree & Arborist Services to cut down a tree at the Mark Center in Abbotsford.
After all of the limbs were detached, the 80 foot tall tree was cut in to multiple sections weighing approximately 8,000 lbs each. While each section was being cut, Eagle West’s 40 ton stiff boom crane was attached to the section of the tree, ready to hoist it onto the ground.
Each section of the tree was loaded onto a truck and taken to the mill to be further cut into lumber.
